"It is a genuine pleasure to award our inaugural Rachel and Leo Sussman Dean's Scholarship to Mr. Yoel Kleinman," said Rabbi Yitzchak S. Handel, Ph.D. and dean of TCI. "Mr. Kleinman envisions his stay in Israel as an opportunity to develop both spiritually and professionally, and to prepare for a career and lifestyle that will allow him contribute to society. Already he has demonstrated serious dedication to his goals and we at TCI are grateful to the Sussmans, ob"m, for enabling us to assist him in obtaining them."

Mr. Yoel Kleinman said: "I am truly grateful for the help Touro College in Israel has given me. The world is built by the people who construct it. I thank TCI and the Sussmans for caring, and for building a better world for all of us".

Touro College is committed to advancing the education of Torah observant students throughout the world. To that end, Dr. Bernard Lander founded TCI, which is committed to providing the English-speaking population in Israel with the opportunity to earn academic credits recognized in New York, and study towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree while in Israel. In line with this mission, TCI offers a learning environment where Torah-observant students can achieve their goal of attaining a higher education in a suitable atmosphere that is sensitive to their needs. Presently, Mr. Kleinman is studying business courses at TCI, including investment principles, corporate finance, and principles of marketing.
