TOURO COLLEGE APPOINTS OVER 25 UNDERGRADUATE FULL TIME FACULTY FOR 2007-08 ACADEMIC YEAR

New York, N.Y., February 11, 2008 - Dr. Bernard Lander, founder and president of Touro College, today announced the hiring of over 25 highly qualified new full-time faculty members to teach at the undergraduate level across a broad range of departments and schools at Touro College.

The additions grew out of a multi-year faculty hiring plan that called for new teaching staff in a variety of disciplines, including history, psychology, biology, political science, mathematics, and communications. In all, close to 50 new undergraduate faulty members have been appointed in the first two years of the plan.

"We are extremely proud of our new additions and expect they will bring additional vigor to our already distinguished faculty," said Dr. Stanley Boylan, Touro’s vice president of undergraduate education and dean of faculties.

Currently, there are over 250 full-time faculty members teaching in the undergraduate colleges. Touro’s full-time faculty, including graduate and professional schools, consists of more of than 430 instructional staff members.
