Graduation Requirements
A student will be recommended for the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine provided the candidate:
- Has completed at least four years in an accredited osteopathic medical college or its equivalent, and
- Has been enrolled in the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine during the final two academic years, and
- Is not on provisional academic status, has completed all prescribed academic requirements with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher, has no outstanding grade which is incomplete, and has a passing grade for all clinical rotations, and
- Has passed Part I and Part II (both CE and PE) of the COMLEX Examinations of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, and
- Has performed and behaved in a manner which is ethical, professional, and consistent with the practice of Osteopathic Medicine, and
- Has complied with all the legal and financial requirements of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and
- Attends the graduation ceremony IN-PERSON, unless special permission has been granted by the Dean of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and
- Is at least 21 years of Age, and
- Has satisfactorily passed prescribed exams, and
- A minimum of 45 months has elapsed between the date of matriculation and graduation, and
- Has completed all degree requirements within six years following matriculation, and
