According to the Center for Disease control, participation in sports, recreation, and exercise (SRE) is increasingly popular and widespread in American culture. Approximately 715,000 sports and recreation injuries occur each year in school settings alone. These injuries are also a leading reason people discontinue participation in potentially beneficial physical activity. Learn to prevent and heal sports, recreation and exercise related injuries using osteopathic manipulative treatment modalities. Topics of interest include rapid treatment of field injuries, pre/post injury taping techniques and the osteopathic approach to the upper and lower extremities. This program is appropriate for physicians serving active patients of all ages. Speakers will be Martin Levine, DO, and Mary Banihashem, DO.
