Course Descriptions
Subject Areas:
Courses are coded as follows:
Odd-numbered courses are usually offered in the Fall
semester. Even-numbered courses are usually offered in the Spring semester.
Courses listed as bi-annual E are normally offered during even-numbered
academic years (e.g. 1996-1997). Courses listed as bi-annual O are normally
offered during odd-numbered academic years (e.g. 1995-1996). A slash (/)
between numbers indicates a course which may be entered in the second semester.
A dash (-) between numbers indicates a course whose first term is a prerequisite
for the second term. Course credits are for each semester in two-semester
courses. Departments may offer experimental courses under the listing 501,
502, etc., prior to faculty review, and these numbers may be repeated by
the student. Students may register for Independent Study (481-482) only
with approval of the Department and Dean.
Students should be advised that final course offerings
for each semester depend on sufficient course registration. Nevertheless,
students may be assured that sufficient courses will be offered to enable
students to complete associate degree programs in two academic years of
full-time study, or their equivalent in part-time study, and to complete
baccalaureate degree programs in four academic years of study, or their
equivalent in part-time study.
