The Graduate School of Technology welcomes applications from qualified candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. International candidates who hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelors' degree are encouraged to apply. Applications to all Master's degree programs are processed by the Office of Graduate Admissions.
The application process is self-managed. Gather all materials that need to be mailed to the Office of Graduate Admissions and mail the materials under one mailing, including the document checklist. Sending items separately will delay the processing and review of your application. Full instructions are provided in the Application Form for Graduate Admission.
Candidates are invited for an interview with the Program Chair (or their designee). Accepted applicants usually have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants whose native language is not English may be required to present evidence of competence in communication in English.
Applicants accepted to a program that includes classroom-based instruction in New York State need to provide proof of MMR immunizations and return the meningococcal response form before they can register for classes.
Applicants not seeking a graduate degree or certificate can apply for non-degree student status. Non-degree study provides an opportunity to investigate a new career path, or to meet state certification requirements for teachers. Use the Non-matriculated Application.
