Graduate Research Fellowships and Director's Scholarships

The Graduate Research Fellowship is granted based upon academic achievement and the candidate's academic research skills and potential to develop his or her career in the student's chosen business discipline. One Graduate Research Fellowship may be awarded to a student each year. A student who receives the Graduate Research Fellowship is eligible to re-apply for consideration during the following academic year; but the award is not guaranteed. Candidates are required to write an essay, not to exceed two word-processed, double spaced pages presenting their academic achievement, research qualifications and career goals. Additionally, applicants are required to submit a writing sample that demonstrates superior research skills and effective writing. Those students who earn Graduate Research Fellowships are expected to work with assigned faculty on academic research projects, participate in the Graduate Business Student Club, and meet with prospective students during Open Houses. The Scholarship and Fellowship Committee of the Graduate Business Programs will make the final decision, which is not subject to appeal. The Graduate Research Fellowship carries a $4,500 tuition credit ($2,250 each semester) academic year. The deadline for application for returning students is June 1, and for new students the later of August 15 or ten (10) days after acceptance of the Offer of Admission.
Director's Scholarship
The Director's Scholarship is granted based upon academic achievement and the candidate's potential to develop his or her career his or her chosen business discipline. Two Director's Scholarships may be awarded to students in each entering class on a yearly basis. Students who receive the Director's Scholarship are eligible to re-apply for consideration during the academic following year; but the award is not guaranteed. Candidates are required to write an essay, not to exceed two word-processed, double spaced pages presenting their academic qualifications and career goals. Those students who earn Director's Scholarships are expected to participate in the promotional activities and meet with prospective students during Open Houses. The Scholarship and Fellowship Committee of the Graduate Business Programs will make the final decision, which is not subject to appeal. The Director's Scholarship carries a tuition reduction the academic years. The deadline for application for returning students is June 1, and for new students the later of August 15 or ten (10) days after acceptance of the Offer of Admission.
Veterans Administration (VA) Benefits
Many programs for educational assistance benefits are available to those who have served in the active military, naval or air services of the United States, and to their dependents. Detailed information on all veterans' benefits, and assistance in applying for benefits, can be obtained from the Veterans Administration.
Federal Income Tax Credits
Students in some cases may be eligible for credits against their income tax liability to the United States Department of Internal Revenue and other tax authorities. Students are encouraged to consult their tax advisor for details.
