Alex Gurvich is an Assistant Professor of Business Management and Finance at Touro Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Gurvich is a founding member and a Managing Partner at The Rockledge Group, a firm managing funds for US and European investors.
Mr. Gurvich began his business career as a management consultant with Bain & Company. Prior to joining Rockledge, Mr. Gurvich was a venture capitalist with General Electric's GE Capital.
Mr. Gurvich earned a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago, and subsequently worked in the medical physics laboratory at Harvard University. He holds two Master's degrees, an MBA from INSEAD, Europe, and an MS in Financial Engineering from New York University Polytechnic Institute. He is also a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute. Prior to entering business school, he was an engineer/physicist with a French high-tech scientific instrumentation company.
Carolyn Ellison has a broad-based track record building brands and leading teams across a range of product categories, domestic and international. Professional expertise includes:
- Developing brand positioning and marketing plans based on insights, business model capabilities, and market opportunities
- Driving innovation & new product development across the marketing mix to add consumer value and profitability
- Growing brands across diverse business models, including DSD, JV and Distributor Networks

Dr. Charles Snow, Ph.D is a professor of Accounting at Touro Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Snow served as Dean of the Business School at Touro from 2005-2008 after leading Yeshiva University's School of Business from 2001-2005. In industry, Dr. Snow was a Vice President and the Director of Training, with worldwide responsibilities, at Morgan Stanley and Co. Dr. Snow has also taught at Yeshiva University and at Baruch College and the City College of New York, where he was a tenured professor in the Accounting Department. Dr. Snow has done extensive consulting with corporate clients on issues of cost analysis, strategic management and training.
Dr. Snow received his Master's degree and Ph.D in Accounting from N.Y.U.'s Graduate School of Business. His undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University was in Economics. Dr. Snow has appeared on television, radio and in the press, speaking about issues related to corporate fraud, and has published in numerous professional journals.
Christina A. Murphy, Ed.D. PHR
For more than sixteen years, Ms. Murphy has worked in various Human Resources roles, from training and staff development to talent management, in industries such as consulting, high tech, education, and publishing.
Ms. Murphy holds a Ed.D. in Executive Leadership and Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management, both from Fordham University, a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Hofstra University, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate from the Society for Human Resource Management. She has taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is invited often to speak about performance management, talent strategy, and career development by a variety of organizations.
Patrick J. McGuigan, Ph.D, CLU, ChFC, CPCU, FLMI
Prior to joining the faculty at Touro College Dr. Patrick McGuigan held teaching positions at the University of Hartford and Pace University which focused on business policy, marketing and entrepreneurship. He founded and ran The Kane Group, a diversified financial services company that was recognized nationally in October of 1997 by Rough Notes Magazine. Dr. McGuigan served as a Regional Director for American Skandia, Vice President for Fortis Financial Group and Bank of America. and has been part of a multiyear ongoing team consulting with Cisco Systems, HP, Pitney Bowes and Agilent.
Dr. McGuigan earned a BA in Economics and Political Science from Sacred Heart University, an MA in Applied Psychology from Fairfield University and received his PhD in Management from Pace University. He began his career by completing the GE Financial Management Training Program. Subsequently he earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from The American College, the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute of CPCU, and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
Dr. McGuigan has published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, Advisor Today, The CPA Journal, The Journal of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, Financial Planning Online, The Valuation Examiner, and GAMA International and Contingencies. Additionally, he has authored several on-line courses for Dearborn Publishing.
Dr. Peter M. Sperling joined the Touro Graduate School of Business in 2006 as Associate Professor of Finance and Economics. Dr. Sperling spent nearly thirty years at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, the majority in the area of corporate finance. After leaving Lucent, he joined the faculty of the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University, where he taught a variety of finance courses. Dr. Sperling also consults in matters concerning current litigation, and is frequently interviewed on the CBS Radio national news network.
Dr. Sperling received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the City College of New York, the Master of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Graduate Center of CUNY.
Robert W. Bigelow is the Director of the Certificate in Paralegal Studies program at Touro's Graduate School of Business. Professor Bigelow has worked as an attorney in both the private and public sectors. He currently maintains a part-time practice in New York City handling select employment and criminal cases, and prior to that served the Legal Aid Society-Criminal Defense Division as a Supervising Attorney in Manhattan and as a trial attorney in its Bronx office. Professor Bigelow is a frequent TV legal analyst, most notably as a guest commentor on TruTV (formerly Court TV) from 2005-2009.
Prof. Bigelow is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and studied at the undergraduate level at UCLA and the University of New Mexico.
Meghan McCormick is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University. She received her AB in public and international affairs from Princeton University in 2007 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology and Public Policy, concentrating in the study of Quantitative Methods. After completing undergraduate studies, Ms. McCormick spent three years as a research assistant at MDRC, a non-profit social policy research organization, working to implement and evaluate large-scale randomized trials of social policy interventions. Her current research examines how interpersonal relationships and social processes both within and outside of K - 12 schools influence students' academic and socio-emotional development. In addition, she is interested in applying innovative quantitative methodologies to the study of causal questions and the evaluation of programs and policies implemented in public schools.
Ms. McCormick has taught statistics and quantitative methods courses to both undergraduate and graduate students at NYU. Notably, she has worked with students from a variety of backgrounds, including business, nursing, social work, and education.
Robert Zwick is an adjunct professor teaching Information Technology at Touro's Graduate School of Business. Formerly a Vice-President at Bear Stearns and MIS Director at the Hebrew Home for the Aged, he serves as a computer consultant to healthcare facilities and software companies specializing in networking, security, server installation, and end user software. A member of the IEEE and BASOR, he teaches computer science courses at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of CUNY, and has taught at Rutgers University and Queens College, among other institutions. Prof. Zwick is a founding member of the National Campaign for National Tolerance, and has edited computer textbooks for McGraw-Hill, Prentice-Hall and CTI.
Prof. Zwick graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Economics, receiving numerous awards, including the prestigious Levine Award for the highest GPA in Economics in his graduating class. He was awarded the U.S. International Exchange Student Scholarship to pursue teaching and research at the University of Moscow. Prof. Zwick received his M.S. degree in Computer Science from Pratt Institute and also did additional work in Ancient Near Eastern Languages at NYU. He received rabbinical ordination from the Rabbi Jacob Joseph Rabbinical Seminary.
Sabra Brock is Interim Dean at the Graduate Business School of Touro College in New York City, Moscow, and Paris. She also teaches courses in change management.
She received her doctorate from New York University in 2007. Her research interests include collaborative learning in business schools and the workplace, cross cultural teaching, and managing change through transformative learning.
Dr. Brock has published widely in scholarly publications, including "Library and marketing class collaborate to create next generation learning landscape," "Empowering PowerPoint: Slides and teaching effectiveness," "Gender equality for learning leadership in undergraduate business schools," and "Measuring the importance of precursor steps to transformative learning."
She has two books on gender relationships. Men Head East Women Turn Right has translated to five languages and has recently released as an eBook under the title I Say This, You Say That.
She is also president of TheTrainingAdvantage.com and a frequent speaker on innovation, effective professional communication, and managing change. Dr. Brock has held global leadership positions at Citicorp, Colgate-Palmolive, DuPont, and Young & Rubicam.
Dr. Tami Moser holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from Capella University in Organization and Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Public Administration with a focus in management from the University of Oklahoma. Her dissertation research focused on succession management systems in small businesses. She has presented at national conferences and published.
Dr. Moser's corporate and consulting experience helped prepare her for teaching and research. She is a business and education professional with broad experience in recruitment, training, and retention of highly qualified employees. A project manager with experience in a wide variety of business applications. She has experience successfully leading people, projects, and processes and is dedicated to creating a friendly and exciting environment where employees are allowed to stretch their creativity and skill set. Her industry experience includes: health care, retail, business to business sales (multiple industries), insurance, and hospitality.
Dr. Moser's current research includes:
- Three Phase Analysis of Business Needs, Student Learning, and Higher-Education Business Pedagogy: Gap Analysis
- Identification of the Effectiveness of Innovative and Collaborative Technology for strategic Management and Policy Pedagogy: Mixed Methodology Study.
She is Editor-in-Chief of Administrative Issues Journal: Practice, Research, and Teaching
Sharon Vanek has a remarkable 15-year career with significant expertise in international business & marketing.
Sharon serves as an independent consultant, where she led her clients to accomplish their potential and reach their strategic goals. She is also an Adjunct Professor in Brooklyn College where she teaches both "International Business & Marketing" and "Asian Business".
Throughout her career, Sharon showed an enterprising attitude from the start. In 1997 she realized that the future of international business lays in East Asia and she moved to S. Korea, where she started her long career in traditionally male-dominated, technical fields of infrastructure and homeland security. In 1999, she was hired to direct the Commercial Department at the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai China. Only a year later, she was asked to be CEO of the fast growing BERMAD China. After a successful period in China, Sharon became an independent consultant focusing in assisting companies who operate in South East Asia. During 3 years Sharon worked with companies in Thailand, Israel and Singapore. In 2005 Sharon moved to the US where she expanded her knowledge in homeland security and defense technologies. Working with the US Army, Border Control and highly secured facilities to create, enhance and implement advanced solutions to existing and future problems, Sharon successfully grew new business around her teams. During 2009-2010 Sharon moved to Israel where she held VP Homeland Security and Infrastructure position in BDO-I2I, which is part of the BDO Israel Consulting Firm. Since August 2010, Sharon lives with her family in NYC, where she spend time writing, lecturing, teaching and working as a consultant with a selected group of costumers.
Sharon graduated from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, receiving her Bachelor of Social Science and, subsequently, Master in Business Administration from Derbi University.
