Immunization

FAQ

Are transcripts required?
We require you to arrange for official transcripts to be submitted from all postsecondary institutions that you have attended; one of these must verify the award of a Bachelor's degree. If you completed your degree at a university outside the US, a course-by-course credential evaluation is normally required. A detailed explanation of this requirement is provided in the application packet.

Do you accept transfer credits?
Yes, we accept graduate transfer credits from accredited institutions. The program evaluates credit documented on official transcripts (see question above). A maximum number of 6 credits are allowed in transfer.

Is proof of immunization required?
If you were born on or after January 1, 1957 proof of immunization is required before you can register for classes. You do not have to submit this with your application package but it is a good idea to do so since you will need to provide this documentation before you register. Click for further information and downloadable forms.

What happens after I've submitted my application?
When your application package is received, it is reviewed by the Admissions Committee. You then receive a letter informing you of the committee's decision. If you do not receive a response from us within two weeks of the date you submitted your application please contact our office by phone or email (see below).

When can I register for classes?
If you are accepted into the program for which you applied, you then meet with your Program Advisor to discuss your plan of study. Instructions will be provided to guide you through the online registration process.

Can I submit my application in person?
Yes. Please be aware that program staff may not be able to review your application the same day, so you may have to return for an interview appointment at a later date.

What is the admission process for international students?
International students follow the same admission process as domestic applicants. I-20 and visa information can found in the International Student Bulletin which can be downloaded from the link found at the top of this page.
