Touro College Liberal Arts and Science
Flatbush, Brooklyn

I have just completed my interview with David Weiss, a graduate of our Flatbush LAS Men's Division. During the course of our conversation, David shared some of his history and thoughts.

David studied at Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Radin in Monsey, New York, and at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin in Brooklyn, New York. He continued his secular education at Touro Collegeís Menís Division in Flatbush.

At Touro, David majored in finance, combining extensive finance, accounting and business courses. Many of his professors were inspirational; however, there was one faculty member that stood out in his mind, Professor Meyer Peikes. David mentioned how Professor Peikes questioned, challenged and inspired him to achieve and strive for the best. David would like to express his thanks and gratitude to Touro College and its qualified faculty who prepared him to enter the business world.

After graduating Touro in 1997, David worked for Sherwood Securities as an Assistant Trader. At present, David works in real estate development for a privately held company.

David is married to Deedee, and they have two wonderful children, Tova and Mordechai. The Weissí reside in Kew Garden Hills, Queens.

Davidís recommendation to Finance majors is that they take as many advanced finance courses as possible in order to have that competitive edge in their professional endeavors.
