Touro College Liberal Arts and Science
Rochelle Stern enrolled at the Touro College School of Liberal Arts and Sciences Flatbush campus in September 1992 as a Psychology major. During her course of studies, after consultation with advisors at Touro, Rochelle changed her major to Speech. Upon successful completion of all requirements, Rochelle graduated in June of 1996 with a BA degree and continued her educational endeavors in graduate school.
During our interview, Rochelle had the following to say:
As a student with a private-school background, I chose Touro College because it served my special needs. I was also able to work during the day and seek a college education at night. During my college years, I made new friends and formed a network of colleagues within my profession.
I would encourage current students to seek the professional guidance available at Touro for career opportunities. The counselors are knowledgeable, sincere, and ready to meet with you at your convenience. However, I feel that Touro College should have more frequent career fairs/graduate sessions. I would also like to recommend that Touro College post an employment section on its Web site whereby prospective employers may announce their available positions.
